Family's crowing roosters has neighbours in a flap
Roosters being bred for poultry shows have ruffled the feathers of their owner's neighbour in the rural community of Lisnamurrican, near Broughshane in Co Antrim.
Tracy Gordon is not taking the noise created by the birds lying down. In fact, she says that she cannot sleep past 3.30am some mornings because of the roosters' wake-up calls, and that she will leave her home if they are not quietened.
Now she has complained to the local borough council, but the birds' owners, the Dowds family, deny they are especially raucous. The dispute may now go before the beak if court proceedings are begun.
No doubt the result will leave one party cock-a-hoop and the other ready to fly the coop.
