Festival of tennis remains somthing not to be missed
With a promised heatwave, it is the perfect weather for tennis - that is watching players from all parts of the globe, many with unpronounceable names, strutting their stuff on Wimbledon's hallowed grass courts. It may be an unfashionable surface in the modern game but SW19 is still its spiritual home.
So, for those of us who cannot get to that corner of London, why not pour a long, refreshing drink, open a punnet of strawberries, pull the curtains to cut the glare of the sun on the television and settle down for a festival of tennis. Could Andy Murray win again to send the home fans delirious with joy?
