Firefly Upsee harness: An inspiring invention will bring joy to so many families

Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest ones. A case in point is the Firefly Upsee harness which enables children with limited mobility to move in tandem with a parent. Invented by a mum, but developed and manufactured in Lisburn, this device opens up a whole new world for children who would otherwise be confined to a wheelchair.

Northern Ireland was the country which brought the world the portable defibrillator, saving the lives of millions of people who suffered heart attacks.

Now it is bringing the world another health related product which will also have a great impact, improving the quality of life for many children and helping them enjoy simple pleasures, like playing, which were previously denied to them.
