Fitting tribute to Everest couple's beloved pet dog

Having become the first couple to climb Everest from both sides, Noel and Lynne Hanna from Northern Ireland can be rightly proud of themselves.

Despite the large numbers of people who have scaled the mountain, reaching the summit is still an incredible feat of endurance and skill, and the pair deserve our warmest congratulations.

But they had another compelling reason to reach the top of the world - to scatter the ashes of their beloved dog Babu, who died last year.

The faithful German shepherd accompanied them on many mountain training exercises, so what more fitting resting place could there be?
