The loss of any young life is a heavy burden to bear but the death of Jonathan Peden at his Lurgan workplace yesterday was particularly poignant and distressing. For he had been married for only four weeks and now leaves a grief-stricken widow.

These should have been the happiest days of the couple's lives, instead it is a time of inconsolable sorrow for her and Jonathan's family.

But just as friends and neighbours rallied around one of Jonathan's brothers, his wife and two-year-old child when their home in Rathfriland was destroyed by fire three days before Christmas, so others will rally round the Peden family in this time of unbearable agony.
