News that Northern Ireland had qualified for the last 16 round of the Euros may have been music to football fans but it struck a discordant note with the organisers of the Belsonic festival due to take place at the Belfast fanzone.

It seems the pop festival organisers did not dare to dream like the football fans and never expected music and football to clash. Obviously they thought the Northern Ireland team would be on its way home by now. The question now is where can the football fans gather to watch their heroes at the weekend? The demand for a new fanzone is overwhelming and the fans deserve a positive answer.
