Gnome is where the heart is for good people of Strabane
Last month Strabane was unveiled as the most romantic town in Northern Ireland, and it has now topped the charts for its gnome appeal.
After a period of decline, the humble gnomes are making a comeback, with supermarket Asda recording a 400% increase in sales nationally. Part of the attraction is that the new garden gnomes are much bigger and have more child-friendly designs compared to the earlier versions, which frightened some young people.
The big question is: how will Strabane adapt to this sudden increase in its fame?
From now on its main slogan must be: "There's no place like gnome."
