Golden oldies make the latest Belsonic one for mum and dad

The organisers of what is hailed as Northern Ireland's biggest outdoor music event - the Belsonic festivals in June and August - are banking on nostalgia being a big draw this year.

For among the latest acts just announced for August are The Corrs, Madness and Fatboy Slim, who were long in their pomp before the Titanic site where they will appear had even appeared on an architect's drawing board.

But then, if the Rolling Stones are still touring, there is no reason why these acts shouldn't be giving the middle-aged a chance to let their thinning hair down for one or two nights and pretend they are still down with the kids.
