Hero Healy deserves time, but fans will always call shots
It hasn't taken Linfield's new manager David Healy long to find out that being a football manager is a whole different ball game from simply sticking the ball in the net.
He was the target of disenchanted fans at the weekend when his team could only manage a draw - a reception that was a far cry from the adulation he was held in as Northern Ireland's top international scorer.
Every manager knows that when his team is winning he is a hero, but his reputation plunges to zero when the victories dry up. The Blues' fans may be very premature in criticising Healy, but paying their money at the turnstiles entitles them to voice their opinion.
