Heroes who saved three lives should be honoured
Darren Dickson and Sean McLaughlin are both heroes - the former for reviving a 15-month-old toddler suffering from a seizure, the latter for rescuing two people, one of them wheelchair-bound, from their burning home.
Both men modestly play down their roles, merely explaining their actions as something anyone would do to aid someone in distress or need.
But they saved three lives between them.
Darren put his first aid skills to good use, and Sean risked his own life by entering the blazing house three times.
They deserve to have their actions formally acknowledged, to go with the gratitude of those they helped.
