Irish Cup glory so meaningful for passionate managers

Both team managers at tomorrow's Irish Cup final will have their own compelling reasons to lift the trophy. For Gary Hamilton of Glenavon it would be a tribute to his friend and former team member Mark Farren, who died from a brain tumour earlier this year.

For Linfield boss David Healy it will be his first silverware since taking charge and proof that he can be as much a success in this role as he was as record goal scorer for Northern Ireland.

Both are passionate about the sport yet keep themselves firmly grounded when it comes to family and friends. Whoever wins, let us hope it is a game worthy of the occasion.
