Joey's son makes poignant addition to Ulster GP grid

Memories of the legendary Joey Dunlop are still vivid among road racing fans and many other people here and elsewhere, and it will be a poignant occasion when his son Gary lines up in this week's Ulster GP.

Gary will be wearing the iconic No.3 and yellow crash helmet made so famous by his late father, and he will be riding on a familiar course where Joey enjoyed so many famous victories, and where he created so many indelible memories for us all.

This sport is demanding and dangerous, and no doubt this is clear to young Gary Dunlop as he follows in the wheel-marks of his father. However, road racing is in the blood, and we wish Gary all the very best.
