Law finally fixes rogue tradesman by putting him in jail

It can be difficult to find a trustworthy tradesman. Word-of-mouth recommendation from reliable friends is one way, but many of us simply look up Yellow Pages or some other listing publication and hope for the best.

Those who used that method to hire conman Henry Douglas to fix their washing machines, televisions or other electrical goods simply got fleeced.

He had no expertise and used a number of aliases to run his scams. Thankfully Douglas has now been put behind bars, but his victims must wonder how a man with his long track record of deception had not been detected and incarcerated long ago.
