Let's now hope John has found lasting happiness

There are reports that the widower John McAreavey, whose wife Michaela was murdered on their honeymoon, has found a new person in his life. If this works out, many people will be glad for the young couple and their families, and wish them all the best. This, of course, should be an essentially private matter for the two people directly involved.

However, given the intense interest in the tragic events of Michaela's death, and some of the lurid claims in the subsequent trial, it is no surprise that the general public will also express the hope that John McAreavey and his new companion, Tara Brennan, will find a lasting happiness of their own.
