Letters show Charles has every right to express his opinion
The content and subject matters of the letters sent by Prince Charles to a number of Government ministers are something of a damp squib and makes one wonder why there was such a protracted legal battle over their publication.
The topics covered are exactly what many people would expect the Prince to comment on.
While the sovereignty of parliament must remain paramount, why should Charles be the only concerned citizen unable to express his opinions, which would be widely shared by the public at large? Ironically, the campaign to reveal his letters has made Charles appear a likeable and sensible chap.
