Little Ella's generosity is an example to the rest of us

Very often it is the good thoughts and actions of children that make us sit up and take notice.

A shining example of this is the story of Ella Scott, aged 8, who spotted a homeless man outside the restaurant where she was dining in America, and went out to give him her meal.

Her father Eddie, who hails from Portstewart, is proud of his daughter, and rightly so.

Her kind actions have not only fed the homeless man, but hopefully they have put him in touch with those who can give him long-term rehabilitation, on the right path.

The little girl's action is so inspiring, and an example to the rest of us.
