Managers take their eye off the ball regarding supporters
There are few groups of people on earth as determined as football fans wanting to see their team in action. Even locking them out of the stadium, it seems, is not a real deterrent.
Now Northern Ireland fans wanting to see their team play a closed doors match against the Republic in June are threatening to use sophisticated camera-carrying drones to get a bird's-eye view of the game.
It is only a training game but perhaps the two Northern Ireland-born managers should have upgraded it to a friendly and allowed the fans in. It would certainly have produced some much-needed revenue for the two associations.
