Music to our ears

We have already had the appetiser in the Out to Lunch festival, which brightened up the dark days of January.

And now the line-up for the main course, the Cathedral Quarter festival, has been announced. The two events share a common theme, managing to attract acts that we all know with other unsung performers.

Given the bad publicity emanating from Belfast recently, these festivals help to restore its reputation as a city which likes to enjoy itself. With acts like eighties icon Adam Ant and pop group Dexys appearing, the city is sure to earn rave reviews. And with Londonderry continuing its reign as City of Culture, the craic in the province promises to be mighty in the coming months.
