Olympic star Aimee the perfect Runher role model

Aimee Fuller made herself one of the most talked about Winter Olympians with her unbridled joy at the medal success of a team-mate in a snowboarding event.

Stuffy BBC viewers criticised her over-the-top celebrations in the commentary box, but Aimee added some excitement to what is, after all, a minority sport.

It is young girls like her, full of life and living life to the full, who add much needed colour to our lives.

And it is exciting that she has decided to take part in the Belfast Telegraph's Runher Coastal 10k run in May.

We will have a real star at the event, and hopefully her participation will encourage many other women to join in for a really worthwhile cause.
