Oscar's inspiring

The plight of little Oscar Knox, the Mallusk boy suffering from a rare form of cancer, touched the hearts of tens of thousands of people around the province and, indeed, further afield.

And every one of them will be overjoyed at the news that now the four-year-old seems clear of the disease. His courage and the unstinting efforts of his devoted parents, Leona and Stephen, to raise funds to get him the best possible treatment amazed everyone who came in contact with the family or read about them. Today, we share the hope that the disease has been defeated and that the family who have gone through so much can now enjoy a normal, healthy life. They deserve no less.
