Patrick Kielty's grace in dealing with father's killing commendable

Behind the image of most top-line comedians, there is a different reality. Our own Patrick Kielty has revealed the suffering experienced after the death of his father who was murdered by loyalist paramilitaries in 1988.

Despite that trauma, Paddy Kielty has built up his career in a notoriously difficult business.

Instead of expressing revulsion at his father's killers, Paddy has taken the higher ground in realising that "the minute you are angry, someone else has won".

Such grace and forbearance in dealing with matters of the heart is truly commendable and sets a great example.
