Philip's marathon effort is a fitting eulogy to brave Mary
The love for his lost wife seeps from every word spoken by Philip Anderson. It is obvious that he is bereft following the death in November of his wife Mary from a brain tumour, leaving him and their 10-year-old son Peter to cope as best they can.
But Philip wants the world to know what a wonderful woman Mary was, generous in heart and deed, and so brave in the face of impending death. That has spurred him to run a marathon a week in her memory. He speaks so eloquently and movingly about their life together that we can share in his devastation, but also in his pride of the woman he married. She could not have a better eulogy.
