The Belfast Telegraph's 'Baby Hearts Appeal' in association with Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke has been launched to support research into congenital heart disease, which affects so many children in this Province.
However, the benefits from this research will help children from all over the world.
Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke has undertaken to support the project with £172,000, and this newspaper wants to provide at least £20,000 towards that target before Christmas. Our aim is to encourage 800 donors to contribute at least £25 each, and so far we have raised £6,000.
Our moving story today about the Cully family underlines how much more help is needed for this worthy cause.
