Respected critic's praise is icing on the cake for Belfast restaurants

It seems that food critic Jay Rayner, who once lambasted a Belfast restaurant in his newspaper review, now cannot get enough of the local culinary scene. Not only has he praised local eateries but he also welcomes the new-found passion for good food among the locals.

We, of course, know how much restaurants have improved in recent years. However, it is important that respected critics like Rayner also spread the good news to a wider audience. That can certainly help convince more people to visit Northern Ireland on short breaks or holidays and also ensure that standards are maintained or raised further.
