Responsibility lies with our drivers for safety on roads
This time last year there were 68 people alive in Northern Ireland who were to die in the coming 12 months. Yet the vast majority of those deaths were avoidable.
The victims were all killed on our roads and the same faults emerge year after year, driving too fast for the conditions, not paying suitable heed, driving while drunk, driving dangerously or carelessly. Imagine if there was any other cause of death which we could prevent so easily. All it takes is for every driver to behave responsibly when they get behind the wheel of their vehicle. Just think that this could be the last journey you ever make or that you may be responsible for killing someone else unless you take care.
