Ireland's rugby management have chosen wisely in appointing Rory Best as team captain for the forthcoming Six Nations championship. The Ulster man is a born leader, a player of huge experience and one respected by his peers - all qualities which make him the obvious choice to lead his country.

To captain your country at any sport is a magnificent honour, and Ireland can be assured that Rory will do his utmost to repay the faith shown in him. He has been playing magnificently for Ulster in recent weeks and Irish fans will hope that his form continues onto the international stage.
