Rumours are rife that one of the most glamorous couples in sport –Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki – are about to split.

It is said that true love never runs smoothly, and this may be just a blip between two highly pressurised young people. However, while the future of this partnership may attract our passing attention, there may be pain for those involved.

There are perhaps more cheerful, if surprising, developments on the royal front, with rumours that Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Fergie might be getting together again.

There is often no logic about the world of romance, but what the heart wants, it wants...
