Rugby the winner on a pulsating day of dramatic tension
The Ireland rugby team, including its Ulster contingent, has achieved a massive victory in winning the Six Nations Championship in successive years.
They are worthy winners, but their narrow win over England on Saturday was part of a day of incredible rugby when 221 points were scored in only three games.
This was a magnificent spectacle with exciting rugby, and although Ireland are true champions, the real winner is the game itself.
Recently it appeared that success came mostly from brawn, but Saturday's games showed how exciting, skilful and fast-flowing rugby can be.
