School singers doing us all proud on the BGT stage
The appeal of the Britain's Got Talent is that it gives a stage to people with all sorts of skills, such as the Omagh man who broke a world record for creating balloon sculptures while blindfolded.
But it was a group of primary school children from the province who gained even greater applause for their choral rendition. We are so used to seeing precocious stage school kids appearing on television that we forget how exciting and even scary a show like BGT can be for ordinary primary school pupils.
The children of St Patrick's PS, from Drumgreenagh near Rathfriland, did us proud and we look forward to their next appearance.
