Selfless Charlene has left us and world wonderful legacy

Charlene Barr was a remarkable young woman who was taken in by an equally remarkable family. She had cystic fibrosis but rather than wallow in self-pity she founded a charity to bring hope to children in Uganda, building them a school, paying for teachers and providing fresh water.

Her adopted family have continued her work and today publish a book on a life cruelly cut short at 20, but which has left such a wonderful legacy, not only in Uganda but also in the home of the family who miss her so much. In adversity she found the strength to look beyond her own fears and concerns to help others and make us all feel so inadequate.
