Selfless work of animal sanctuary staff deserving of praise

Published 15/04/2016

The work of the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary in rescuing and rehoming abandoned and abused pets reaffirms belief in the innate goodness of so many people.

They carry out the round-the-clock care for the animals for no other reward than to ensure that they have a safe, secure and loved home, either at the centre or with new families.

This is citizenship writ large, a desire to help others - in this case animals - because of a concern that burns within their hearts. Tomorrow the centre celebrates its 20th birthday. Go along, see the work it does and consider how you too can help.
