Sir Van's Hollow a worthy addition to NI's tourist trail

Sir Van Morrison has probably done more to publicise his native east Belfast than any other former resident, and fans now have a new attraction in the area to visit after The Hollow - referred to in his ever popular Brown Eyed Girl - was spruced up as part of a new environmental project.

While it only forms a small part of the Greenway project, which will span 10 miles of cycle paths and walkways when completed, there are enough references to the area in Brown Eyed Girl to keep the Vanatics tramping around the streets for some time.

Tourism chiefs take note, it is time to spread the news of this new attraction.
