Spread the word

At a time of almost unrelenting economic gloom the success of Co Down couple Will and Allison Abernethy with their speciality butter is a heart-warming story.

With orders from the upmarket Fortnum & Mason store and Heston Blumenthal's restaurant, The Fat Duck, they have proved that Northern Ireland can produce foodstuffs of the highest quality.

They show what true entrepreneurial spirit is all about. This started out as a hobby, but has now grown into a thriving business. They followed the winning rules: find a niche market and fill it with a quality product. It takes hard work but then that makes the success all the sweeter.
