The brilliant sunshine has brought thousands of visitors to Northern Ireland in recent days and, as our straw poll indicates, their verdict on our tourist attractions is generally very favourable.

Of course, the annual favourites such as the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Bridge and the Titanic Quarter remain the must-see sights, but the improved infrastructure, especially our restaurants, also gain a thumbs-up.

And the general friendliness of local people is another attraction, helping visitors to leave here with a positive impression. The cost of living here causes a few frowns, but, like the weather, that is largely beyond our control.
