Surgeon deserves applause for Tessa's life-changing op

It is good to be able to report about little Tessa Evans, who has been given a new nose by a pioneering surgical procedure.

Tessa, aged two, was born with a rare medical condition which meant that she had no nose.

She is the first person to have a special nasal implant fitted, so that as she gets older it will encourage a new nose to grow out of stretched skin. All credit is due to Jonathan Britto, the surgeon, and to his staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital, for such a happy ending.
