Ulster's comeback proves sport has power to astonish
In sport there is always evidence that miracles do happen. At half-time yesterday in the European Champions Cup, Ulster were trailing 23-0 in their away game against the French side Oyonnax.
Ulster looked down and out, and already the knives were being sharpened for the new director of rugby Les Kiss and his selection policy. Then, in an astonishing second half, Ulster clawed their way back and, with a huge last-gasp penalty kicked by Paddy Jackson, they edged home 24-23.
This was one of the most incredible comebacks in rugby, and proved that sport can always amaze us. Well done, Ulster!
