Una Crudden, this newspaper's Woman of the Year, is a remarkable person. Although diagnosed with terminal cancer, she has fought valiantly to raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer following her own misdiagnosis.
She displays enormous courage and humbling faith in her personal life and she offers great encouragement to other women diagnosed with the disease.
Many of us in her position no doubt would wallow in self-pity or rail against the world, but she wants to do something positive with the time she has been granted.
And she has vowed that her friends will continue her campaign after she is gone. That will be a tremendous tribute to a remarkable woman.
