Unbleatable feat

It is a story that Disney would have been proud to create.

Three weeks after the heavy snowfall which blanketed many parts of the province, two rams and two sheep have been found alive on Co Antrim farms having survived in pockets of air while buried in drifts.

While we cannot forget that some 20,000 sheep perished in the blizzards leaving farmers across the province distraught and fearing financial meltdown, this is a heartwarming story. All it needs now is for a faithful collie – Old Shep anyone? – to emerge as the hero of the tale having tracked down the surviving sheep.
