Unstoppable biker back to race after a brush with death

French motorcycle racer Franck Petricola personifies the sheer courage of those who race on our roads. A year after a serious crash left him with multiple injuries and in a coma he is coming back to compete again at the North West 200 races.

Most of us cannot comprehend how anyone could willingly take up again the sport which nearly killed them, but Franck has racing in his blood, just like so many of our local riders even though they have lost friends and family members to fatal crashes. Franck's recovery is also a testament to the medical care he received both at the track and in hospital here. Those medical staff are also heroes.
