We should be proud of our teenagers and their results
Northern Ireland's high achieving GCSE students are a credit to the province, continuing to outperform their counterparts in Britain with more achieving top grades this year at a time when other regions of the UK are showing a decline.
But just as there are winners there are those who didn't achieve their hoped-for grades. They have the option of re-sits or of changing their goals, perhaps considering taking a more vocational route or seeking a career in something they really love rather than just freewheeling towards university without any firm idea of what the future might hold. Whatever our teenagers decide we should be proud of them.
