There is no doubt that the Halloween celebrations are becoming more popular than ever, and today we have stories in our newspaper about people in Belfast actually having to queue up to buy costumes.

It is good to see places like Belfast and Derry making a major feature of Halloween, but the celebrations also can have a darker side.

There are already examples of two people who are suffering horrendously because of the damage caused by fireworks. The advice for this weekend is clear.

Have fun in celebrating Halloween, but also be careful. It's important to follow the right advice and to stay safe.
