Apart from the inspiring efforts of the Olympic athletes this summer, there is a valuable lesson to be learned from the organisation of the Games.
Planning and an appeal to the altruism of people works better than the chaos that poorly regulated markets generate. This is the true way to do things — not the cut-throat competition beloved of our political masters.
