Abortion is a legalised evil

I refer to Fionola Meredith's column of Feb 15 on having a calm and rational abortion discussion.

I found the opening paragraph of her column to be neither calm nor rational. Abortion is the killing of babies before they are born, and legalising that will not make it either right or good.

People now must have choice but not responsibilities. Women considering abortion should be supported and encouraged to have their babies and put them up for adoption if so desired.

I am sure there are many couples who would love to adopt a baby but cannot find one.

Legalised abortion is the most evil legislation ever enacted and should be repealed.
