Abortions here are legal in certain cases

I AM writing in response to your article 'The anti-abortion crusader unapologetic over her tactics' (News, August 11). The article contained inaccurate information regarding the abortion law.

The article incorrectly stated that abortion is illegal in Northern Ireland. Abortion is legal if the woman's life is at immediate risk from the pregnancy or if there are permanent risks to the woman's physical or mental health.

In other circumstance it is unlawful, including grounds of rape, incest and fetal abnormality.
