Actress Thandie is Cornish, not English

Published 29/08/2016

I am interested to see Thandie Newton is reporting for duty in Belfast for Line of Duty (News, August 25).

However, the Belfast Telegraph needs to respect the ethnicity of Thandie for she is Cornish, not English, and we in Penzance are very proud of her.

If Aer Lingus can respect our language on flights to Cornwall/Kernow, then so can your paper.

Thandie, I am sure, will enjoy Belfast as much as many Cornish people have. In Cushendun, you even have a Cornish village for her to visit, or, near Larne, Glenoe.

Meur ras ha keslowenna ("Many thanks and congratulations" in our language).
