All Troubles victims deserve recompense
Re 'DUP secures Tory support to seek Libyan terror payouts' (News, June 30), I was totally shocked by the total disregard for other victims of the Troubles.
In this article, it states that at two meetings with the Tories the aptly-named DUP has 'DUPed' Theresa May, because of her vulnerable political situation, securing some financial deal for victims of Libyan arms supplied to the IRA.
This, without a doubt, sets a precedent for the other victims of the Troubles, considering the amount of collusion plus the supply of arms - not to forget Israel and South Africa.
If Libya has to pay from frozen assets, I think Mrs May is going to have to get her chequebook out in relation to the victims of loyalist terrorism and, again, South Africa and Israel.
My own father received the paltry sum of £1,350 in 1977, having been critically injured, aged 49. He subsequently died 12 years later from his injuries.
So, I echo Jonathan Ganesh with his own words: "It's not about the money, it's about equality."
