Councillor Conrad Dixon's response to my letter of May 28 (Write Back, June 1) only further exposes Alliance's failures. He and his party are engaged in an exercise in rewriting history which would do the DUP, or Sinn Fein, proud.
Councillor Dixon can't have forgotten his party leader made it absolutely clear, when he took up a seat on the Executive, that he only did so because he had agreement from the other parties that the development of a genuine CSI strategy would be a priority.
David Ford has now accepted that, even with eight MLAs and two seats at the Executive, he cannot deliver a meaningful CSI plan.
Surely Councillor Dixon must see that what he claims as 'successes' are a transparent attempt to deflect from the larger issue that his party has failed absolutely to deliver meaningful change?
The simple truth is that while it claims to want to 'Lead Change', the Alliance party's politics rely upon segregated communities in Northern Ireland as much as any of the other parties.
