Ambulance crew deserves praise
LAST Sunday, I suffered a serious fall while walking on the lower slopes of the Mournes. This necessitated a 999 call and an ambulance to the Ulster Hospital.
The treatment I received from the ambulance crew was exemplary. They had to carry me a considerable distance to their vehicle and they did this without comment or complaint.
In fact, although I remember little of the early stages of my transport, I remember the kindness and professional efficiency of the crew during the long run to Belfast. If I had to summarise, I would say they both exhibited a cheerful professionalism.
While this was my first experience of the Ambulance Service, I would like to put on record my opinion that we in Northern Ireland are apparently very well served, and should appreciate the level of service made available to us by such caring people.
In closing, many thanks, boys.
