Anthems parity needed in rugby

I READ with amusement the letter from Chris Henderson (Write Back, December 3) stating that, at the recent Ireland rugby game in Dublin, "all enjoyed the anthems".

Perhaps he could explain how northern unionists could enjoy A Soldier's Song. This republican anthem is an insult to unionists and should be dropped. When Ireland played at Ravenhill, God Save The Queen was dropped. It is time for parity of esteem in rugby.
