Are golfing pundits taking us seriously?

ARLENE Foster deserves credit for pushing for the return of The Open to Royal Portrush.

However, during the coverage of The Senior Open Golf Championship, two Sky Sports commentators commented on how the senior event had improved since "moving to better venues, such as Carnoustie, Sunningdale, Walton Heath and Muirfield''.

But, prior to the event moving to the mainland in 2005, it was, of course, played at Royal Portrush and Royal County Down on no fewer than nine occasions.

Is anyone on the mainland taking us seriously?
